ISPA SuperTeacher Competition

Top 10 Finalist

2019

The ISPA SuperTeachers competition is managed by the Digital Education Institute (DEI), a non-profit organisation, and is one of South Africa's longest-running ICT in education competitions. 


Mrs Crighton was selected as one of the ten finalists in the Internet Service Providers Association’s (ISPA) SuperTeacher Competition based on a project that showcased her skills in using digital tools to enhance classroom teaching. Her project was entitled “Sharing African Stories”. Using the Stop Motion App on the iPad, Grade 6 learners created their "African Story" to share with learners in the lower grades and other schools.

MEA Microsoft Innovative Educator

1st - Middle East and Africa Region in Cutting-Edge Technology in Education

2011

Microsoft held its first Middle East and Africa Regional forum in Aqaba, Jordan, from 6-11 September 2011.  Lyneth Crighton represented Brescia House School and South Africa.  At this event, her “DigiGirlz puzzle IT out” project won first place in the "Cutting Edge Use of Technology" category.

As a result, in November 2011, Lyneth Crighton represented Brescia House School and South Africa in Washington at Microsoft’s Global Innovative teachers Forum.
